* Hand washing is recommended for cleaning an Alpaca garment, and will add years to the life of your Alpaca apparel.

Follow these four simple steps and your Alpaca purchase will give you years of luxurious comfort and wear.

1. Gently wash in lukewarm water with a mild wool friendly detergent, (mild shampoo will do), and thoroughly rinse in water of the same temperature. Special care must be taken as wet alpaca fabric can weaken and stretch out of shape. Never wring or twist. Gently press excess water from garment.

2. Lay the garment on a dry towel on a flat surface, until thoroughly dried. Do not dry in full sunlight or other direct heat source.

3. Once your Alpaca garment is dry, fold it carefully and store away flat in a drawer or shelf. Never hang an Alpaca jumper as it will stretch out of shape.

4. If you have a stubborn stain dry cleaning may be the only cleaning solution. Do not machine wash.
