Shipping & Returns
1. Product Warranty - Satisfaction Guaranteed.
At Chakaya Alpaca we endeavour to deliver to you top quality alpaca products from local and imported manufacturers. If for any reason you are unhappy with the product you received, we guarantee a full refund of the purchase price, excluding shipping costs. But please tell us if something is physically wrong with an item.
Unworn items may be returned within 2 weeks of purchase for exchange or refund. We do ask that you notify us that the item is being returned to us. All costs incurred in sending back the item to us will be paid for by the customer.
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
* Return/exchanges will not be accepted if customer is at fault for damaging the goods.
2. Order Acceptance.
All orders will be confirmed to you at the email address provided, after processing has occurred, and payment finalized. Please DO NOT send cash.
3. Shipping.
For all deliveries, throughout Australia and overseas, we use Australia Post as the preferred carrier unless you prefer Air Express. For other preferred shipping options just let us know and we will quote on your option.
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page. After placing your order, you will see both shipping and delivery date estimates in the order confirmation email sent to you, if an email address has been provided.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. Alpaca fibre being a hollow fibre, has less weight than comparable fibres. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full kg.
Items that are not in stock, such as from imported sources, will have a delay of a few weeks to allow for restocking and to send to you.
